Bur Oak

The Bur Oak is a majestic, beautiful species of white oak native to Minnesota. It has excellent structure and is highly resistant to disease and decay. Bur oaks can live for hundreds of years, usually growing at least as wide as they are tall. Their acorns provide important forage for wildlife. If you are looking to establish shade or create a woodland in your landscape, and if you have the space for a large tree, a bur oak is an excellent choice.
