Fall Fiesta™ Sugar Maple

(Acer saccharum ‘Bailsta’)

The Fall Fiesta™ Sugar Maple is a faster-growing, more drought-resistant cultivar of the sugar maple. It has striking orange color in the fall. It is not tolerant of road salt so be sure to plant it away from streets and sidewalks. These trees can be tapped to collect sap and make maple syrup; this is best done with a group of trees.

Mature Height: 60-75’

Mature Spread: 30-45’

Soil Type: Prefers moist, well-drained soil; moderately drought-tolerant

Soil pH: Prefers slightly acidic soil

Fruit: Flat samaras or “helicopters”
