Pagoda Dogwood
(Cornus alternifolia)
The Pagoda Dogwood offers year-round appeal with its excellent branching structure, pollinator-attracting flowers, and bold fall color. It prefers shade and does not get large, so it is a great choice for a smaller space as an understory plant. It is only tolerant of short periods of drought, so be sure to keep it well watered. Fragrant yellowish-white flowers give way to dark fruit that attracts birds.
